At least 30 alumni and students have competed for fame and fortune on the iconic prime-time quiz show Jeopardy!, and the University itself is frequently mentioned in clues and questions on the show.

Who Are Smart ’Cats?

Most recently, biologist Adam Silverman ’21 PhD of Arlington, Mass., competed on the show in March and walked away with $13,000.

In 2018 Brandon Brooks ’04 of Chicago was down $1,200 going into Final Jeopardy. He wagered 93% of his total and finished with the correct question, the victory and a total of $27,401.
